Help Promote 54 Seconds

Okay! So you all love 54 Seconds!! You know they are brilliant, and you would like to help spread the word more, but you're kind of stumped as to how...... Read on.....

Email, Guestbooks, Message boards, Forums, Mailing List Communities/Groups, and Newsgroups.

The subtle approach: This is very effective, and is not in your face advertising promotion, which many people ignore. Subtle promotion can be slipped into any conversation.
Most email programs and message board profiles, have a setting for a customized, automatic signature line. Just type a little '54 promo' after you sign your name.

Instructions on setting up a signature line for Outlook Express users is below. Other mail programs are similar, so just look in tools usually under customize or something.

Click TOOLS, OPTIONS, then click the SIGNATURES tab.
Tick the box "Add signature to all outgoing messages"
Enter your signature line (examples above)
Then click APPLY, OKAY

Now each time you reply to a message or send a new message your signature will be automatically put on

Hints:

1. Always include the http:// tag before the address so as people can click on it and go straight to the website.
2. When signing Guestbook, Message boards & Newsgroups, avoid using the phrase "Check out this band" or "This band Rocks" as the subject line. Instead, state a legitimate reason for posting THEN add the promo bit at the bottom. Many people (like myself) bypass such headings, as more often than not, bands that say they "rock" --> DON'T!

This is such a great Radiohead website. The flash intro was extra cool! Thanks for all your hard work.
Also, I'm not sure if you have heard this band, but IMO they are damn good -- They're quiet similar to Radiohead, although very different too! Anyway, if you have time, you might like to have a listen. here is their website: http://54seconds.com

Do not, sign the Guestbook of "lollypop" music artists, as it is just a waste of everyone's time! Do not post to devil worshippers Message boards or newsgroups, as they will know you are spamming! The same goes for country music, or classical artists etc...

Other great ways to spread the 54 seconds word

Wear the T-Shirt!  When people ask about the shirt, go into a sell job:  "54 Seconds are my favourite band. Their website is 54seconds.com. If you're in Austin, Texas, go see them! You won't be disappointed!

Play the albums for your visitors. Don't tell them you are doing it, just do it. If they like them go into a big sell...hehe... be crafty!

If you have extra surfing time on your hands, visit radio stations and request the band's songs!
