"This song was written about the girl I was living with before I moved to Austin. I won't mention any names in case she gets her hands on this and her perfect little world is shattered by remembering she once dated a guy with more substance that the asshole she's about to marry. Bitter? Not at all. I just like to push buttons once in a while. Anyway, she was telling me she had put all my things I left behind in boxes and packed away, and I thought that was a good metaphor for us.
Sonically I think this tune was JJ and I exploring our classic rock roots. Stewart didn't help much in getting us away from that. ...Mmmm.
